This modest extension to the existing villa is in line with the client’s new living requirements and provides a completely new and modern view from the garden. On the ground floor, 2 existing rooms are connected to the garden via the extension. The existing living room has a covered outdoor space in the building, the dining room has a glass ‘dining’ on the garden with sliding doors and the current working room in the basement gets a place in the garden and eliminates the volume of expansion. The 3 functions are clearly readable and are held together by a white aluminum frame. The frame runs obliquely and directs the canopy to the deepest point in the garden. The interior is designed in the same style and takes care of the transition from old to new. The entire extension can be visually sealed by an aluminum curtain.
